Breakfast is served at the hotel.

This day will commence with our signature custom exchange ceremony, honoring three Kenyan tribes: Kissi, Lauya, and Kikuyu. We will also have African diaspora representatives, including Gullah Geechie, UK Caribbean, Africans, and Afro-Canadians. We will discuss our similarities and differences through a town hall-style cultural exchange. In addition, Tverze Africa's business center and its products will be introduced.

The objective is for everyone to walk away from this experience with a deeper comprehension of each other and where to position ourselves as a group.

We will take a break to enjoy some local Kenyan cuisine with music and end the day with our Traverse Culture Marketplace. We look forward to meeting our resident seamstresses, shoe cobblers, and jewelry designers, who will be available to customize your traditional African attire.

Women's hair will be braided, international cuisine will be served (bring your passport), and there will be live music. Everyone will be invited to join in on a conversation about the health and well-being of African people across the globe, focusing on the wounds inflicted by colonialism and the methods for overcoming them. This homecoming New Year's Eve party will be unforgettable.

Day 6, Jan 1
Traditional Naming ceremony

Traverze Culture desires its members to experience the primordial traditions of Kenya. Kenya is home to more than 40 tribes, and the Nubian tribe of Kibera has maintained its traditional way of life over time. In South Sudan, the Nubian tribe is a descendant of the ancient Kush.
Each visitor will receive a traditional Nubian name during Tverze's one-of-a-kind conventional naming ceremony. Traditional Kenyan dancing, attire, and cuisine are just the beginning of this unforgettable experience. You will depart from Mother Africa and return to your homeland with a new identity and family.

Day 7, Jan 2
Safari and the Nairobi National Museum Central Business District

Using our private vehicle and a knowledgeable and experienced guide, we will travel through Kenya's first national park today. Expansive grass plains characterize the park, and the city's skyline may be seen in the background. It is home to a large number of different species of animals. In addition to the critically endangered black rhino, the park is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes, and a wide variety of birds, with over 400 documented species.

The next stop for the group will be at the Giraffe Center.
Giraffes needing a haven may turn to the Giraffe Center for assistance. You will see their regal but beautiful methods as you get up close and personal with them. One can garner some of their renowned passionate kissing and nuzzling attention by puckering up.

We'll visit the Nairobi National Museum to further our understanding of Kenya's fascinating past. The Kenya Museum Society and the National Museum commemorate their 50th anniversaries this year. The Nairobi CBD (Central Business District) will be our tour destination. Jamia Mosque, known for its characteristic silver domes, and Holy Family Minor Basilica, built in the mid-to-late 1900s, may be found in the Central Business District. We plan to eat at a nearby eatery for lunch.

A "night out on the town" is on the agenda for tonight.

Day 8 (January 3)
Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

Our first activity of the day will be a tour of the Kibera neighborhood. Kibera is not just the most populous informal settlement in Nairobi but also the most populous informal settlement in Africa.
Kibera is one of those hidden gems you shouldn't miss, and we delight in bringing it to your attention here at Traverze Culture. We will meet some of their community members known for their forward-thinking and innovation. Lunch will be served in Kibera today.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we want everyone who participates to leave with a better understanding of the great people and rich culture of an area of the country that is often forgotten. This will not be a tour of poor neighborhoods; rather, it will be an event that dispels preconceptions about the community.

Day 9, January 4
Daytime flight to Mombasa (55 minutes)

The Tverze Mombasa concierge crew will welcome the group with snacks and beverages. There will be a quick orientation at the hotel, after which you can spend the rest of the evening as you like.

We'll have dinner at the hotel.

This day is entirely yours to spend as you see fit.
